Contract Home Sales: Up 7.5% in October

Insights of the National Association of Realtors, pending home sales increased in October, recovering from the previous month’s drop.

According to experts, the large gains in October ensure that total existing home sales in 2021 will exceed 6 million units, which will be the best performance in 15 years.

While the market is expected to remain strong, Yoon expects home prices to rise at a more steady rate over the next several months and expects demand to slow down as mortgage rates rise.
